Big Thanks to our Board of Directors!

Last week my son and I were caught in some bad weather while traveling overseas, and it caused me to miss the Charitocracy board's annual meeting. We actually meet quarterly, but this is the "big one" each year. So I just wanted to post a big public thank you to the board for being so flexible and understanding. I value your time immensely, so thanks for rallying with a quick reschedule for next week. We'll have a great meeting, as usual, and it'll surely refuel me for another productive 3 months of keeping Charitocracy chugging along. I have a strong feeling big things will happen in 2022! Thanks to our board, and all of you, for being a part of the magic here. ❤️

Last night we named Charitocracy OBX's 16th monthly winner! Congratulations to First Flight Middle School PTO, nominated by donor brysonfamily. They promote the education and well-being of FFMS students at home, in school, and in the community. You can find their website here.

Now you have a week to sweeten the pot with a special one-time donation of any amount, which we'll add straight to the check we write to FFMS PTO next week. In fact, we already had two come in, thanks!

It's hard to believe we've been doing this Charitocracy OBX thing for over a year, and just concluded our 2nd "giving season!" I love these charities you're picking as winners, and so many of the recent nominees as well. Keep up the great work with your donations, nominations, invitations, and, of course, votes! Let's make 2022 the best year yet. ❤️

December 2021 winner Food for Thought

As the ball dropped on New Year's Eve we named Charitocracy OBX's 15th monthly winner! Congratulations to Food for Thought, nominated by donor whitelin. (They also won the national version of Charitocracy back in July 2020!) They reduce hunger and academic risk facing elementary children by providing healthy meals to build strong minds. Road Trip!

I'll keep this short, since I'm on the road visiting some cities in the southeast I've been missing out on my whole life: Savannah, Charleston, and Wilmington. A lot of history and culture to learn about down here. (Also some decent breweries!) Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving, and please keep Charitocracy in your thoughts during this Giving Season.
